OUR HISTORY
Mezcal Los Javis is hand-crafted and bottled in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Our mezcal is distilled at the Los Javis palenque in the "World Capital of Mezcal", Santiago Matatlan. Our story began over three decades ago when Don Javier Mateo I and his wife Doña Gloria built the family's first mezcal distillery (more commonly known as a palenque) with hopes of creating a spirit that embodied the essence of their Oaxacan tradition.
Mezcal Los Javis is family owned and operated, exporting its namesake mezcal across the world.
